Reflect on 2023 to Advance in 2024
Happy December, Sis!
As we approach the close of 2023, can you do something for me?
Pause and take a deep breath.
Inhale quietly through your nose to a mental count of 4.
Hold your breath for a count of 4.
Exhale completely through your mouth to a count of 8.
In the whirlwind of life, and especially as we approach the holidays, we seldom take these moments for ourselves.
We also rarely take moments to reflect. But, for us, Black women spanning generations, reflection is more than a glance back. Strategic reflection helps us chart our course forward in a world that tests our resilience. It's a chance to recalibrate, align our priorities, and continue to advance towards our unique purpose, on purpose.
So, we've curated three helpful prompts for your 2023 Reflection Journey:
What moments from this year have most profoundly impacted you?
Reflect on the challenges faced, victories achieved, and the lessons learned. Consider how these experiences have contributed to the person you are becoming.
What moment did you feel most connected with your community?
What moment(s) strengthened your sense of belonging in a community, whether it was a shared triumph, a supportive gesture, or a collaborative effort?
What intentions will guide you into the new year?
How can you build on your successes?
What steps can you take to nurture your growth?
How will you strengthen connections and foster new, meaningful relationships?
Speaking of success, growth opportunities, and community, I would love to see you at our last two Hey Auntie! Porches in 2023:
