Investing in Our Community

I've been sitting with something on my heart and wanted to share it with you. A few months ago, an "uncle" figure at a conference shared advice that's stuck with me ever since and resonates deeply with me today: "Don't forsake wealth for wealth." He reminded us not to get lost chasing temporary wealth but to always prioritize our true wealth in our relationships and communities. That message hit home. Our community—our wealth—lies in the bonds we create and nurture.

As we enter November, a month that can bring warmth but also stir up many emotions, I know that the recent election has added a layer of uncertainty for some of us. This season isn't always about joy for everyone, and that's okay. I want you to know that you don't have to navigate these feelings alone. This time can be heavy, and its weight might feel more intense right now, but this is exactly when we need each other most.

This [time] is exactly when we need each other most.

For some, community remind us of gathering around Grandmama's dinner table, sharing laughter over a game of Uno, or the joy of getting our hair done while catching up on life. But I know that for others, those memories might not be as easily accessible. Please know that we're here to create new memories with you. Whatever you're feeling right now, there is space for you here.

Whether you're a Gen Zer, Millennial, Gen Xer, Boomer or in the Silent Generation one thing I know for sure, two things for certain —when we come together, we always flourish.

Your presence in this community matters so much. Together, we can create a support system to help us through uncertain times. You don't have to go through this alone—we are here for each other. The world may be unpredictable, but the wealth of our sisterhood is something no one can take away.
